I Wanna Be Famous– Terms & Conditions
- All contestants must be 6 (six) years of age by 1st January 2019 in order to participate.
- All contestants under the age of 18 (eighteen) years must have permission from their parent or guardian to enter the competition and must also be accompanied by an adult whilst in the venue.
- I Wanna Be Famous reserve the right to choose who takes part in the live events based on the online application. Contestants will be notified via email or phone should their application be successful.
- All contestants must pay a non-refundable application fee of $50.00 in order to secure their spot in the competition.
- I Wanna Be Famous will be held February 3rd, 2019 at Revesby Workers Club
- I Wanna Be Famous will accept all music genres including, but not limited to, Pop, R&B, Country, Musical Theatre, Classical and Rock.
- I Wanna Be Famous allows soloists, duos, trios, and groups to compete
- Contestants/Acts may perform to a backing track, accompany themselves or have an accompanist (1). Contestants/Acts may perform as a duo or a trio.
- Contestants/Acts must provide all backing tracks (USB only) on the day of the event as specified in the information pack provided on confirmation. Contestants are to use mp3, wav or m4a formats – no video files.
- I Wanna Be Famous require each performer to prepare one song (max 3 minutes).
- Contestants/Acts are encouraged to invite a minimum of 10 PEOPLE to each event to ensure there is a good support group in front of the artist at all times. The venue is large so it’s vital that each performer makes an event out of the day and promotes to the best of their ability. I Wanna Be Famous is not an event to get up and practice singing it is created so artists can experience what it is like to be on stage in a full-scale professional environment. Because most Artist performing are unknown acts there will not be an audience if you do not bring supporters, so this is imperative in order to make this a success.
- All pre-sold Tickets are $15. Tickets at the door will cost $20 for adults and $15 concession. Children under the age of 4 years have free entry.
- Showcases run from approximately 3 hrs
- Contestants/Acts who fail to register at the correct time without prior notice may be disqualified.
- The Judges’ decisions are final.
- Additional prizes and categories may be added at the Organiser’s discretion.
- I Wanna Be Famous is designed to provide positive and encouraging performance experience for everyone. We ask competitors, family, and friends to support us in maintaining this positive environment at all times. Anyone disrespecting this will be asked to remove themselves from the event.
- You formally approve I Wanna Be Famous and DSJ Music Group to use your name, image, and video to promote yourself and I Wanna Be Famous while you are involved in the showcases and after you finish. This promotion can take place on any marketing mediums which achieve exposure for both parties at any time in the future.
